Surface valuable company stories to leverage in external marketing and PR initiatives
Prior to Workplace, CONSOLIS’s Marketing and PR team had little visibility into internal projects and initiatives that could be leveraged in marketing or other external campaigns. Today, thanks to increased visibility of project and team work in dedicated Workplace groups, internal work can more readily be used as marketing collateral in various social media campaigns.
One example of this is the case of an employee sharing in a project group a video progress update of an initiative immersing artificial reefs off of the southern French coast. The post was then surfaced and both amplified internally and used for marketing purposes on CONSOLIS’s LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
How to do it in your organisation in three simple steps:
- Create an open ‘Marketing & PR stories’ group with posting permissions to everyone
- Make a pinned post to outline the group’s purpose and encourage engagement in the group. In the pinned post share the template, if any, in which you expect the people to share important initiatives with the Marketing and PR team
- Get the leadership to spend some time scrolling through this group to recognise and appreciate stories of impact
