Simplify procurement process using chatbot
Vedanta’s procurement team had to sift through complex and bulky tax documentation (GST, SAC codes, etc.) and policies every time they had to procure from a vendor. Also, being a large organisation, the team wasn’t always clear who were the right subject matter experts to reach out to for clarifications.
They deployed a procurement chatbot with the help of a Workplace bot partner Leena.ai. The procurement team uses this chatbot to clarify queries related to Taxation, documents (Forms, guidelines, policies, procedures, & Annexures), and detailed profiles of people (to view their expertise and skills). The bot made the life of procurement team a lot easy as now they do not have to go through lengthy documents and also can easily find the right expertise in the organisation.
How to do it in your organisation in three simple steps
- Align technical resources (who have experience in working with APIs) either in-house or from a third party such as Leena.ai
- Create a time bound launch plan, and program manage it to launch [Technical documentation on bots here]
- Create an exciting communication plan to announce the launch of this bot and a simple how-to video showing how to interact with it
